Replacement Projector
Is it possible to use a projector as a replacement for TV? If so, what would I need to get? Thanks?
I would like to have a larger screen but don't want to buy a new TV. Is it possible to buy a projector in order to somehow watch TV through the projector so I can just view it on my wall?
Yes, but it is generally more expensive. The one I was looking at was a Sony for around $2500, but they come a little cheaper. The best bet is to buy a digital one, they are smaller, and high def. On top of the money it costs, you will need to buy a screen for the best viewing, price depends on size. On top of that, for best results, you will probably want to have somone install it for you, I have seen some that were installed by the person who bought it, and the picture is almost always off center, which means part of it is on the wall, or the picture is not using the whole screen. If you are not interested in high def, than you might be able to find one of the old kind, it has three lights, and is huge. I don't know of any stores that still carry them, you can try ebay.
