Region Multi
Can a dvd recorder be "chipped" to play multi region?
I bought a dvd recorder from ebay but the seller failed to mention it was region 1! Is it possible to alter it so I can play region 2 on it? If so what type of place/ people do it?

All DVD players and recorders are Region free when manufactured.
The Region is then encoded by the manufacturer, depending on the country it is to be sold in.
There are plenty of websites that will give you the hack code to make your DVD recorder Region free again (sometimes, even that manufacturer's websites have the hack codes listed).
It's usually just a case of pressing a few buttons on the remote.
